Arizona Judge: Pregnant Cannabis Use Lawful, Mother Removed From Child-Abuse Registry
Last year, a three-judge panel on the Arizona Court of Appeals unanimously determined that the mother’s use was lawful and was not child neglect. Now, after a Thursday order from the state’s Supreme Court, she’s finally been removed from the state’s registry.
A woman who used medicinal cannabis to treat morning sickness during her pregnancy was placed on Arizona’s Confidential Registry for child abuse in 2019, after her newborn child tested positive for cannabis.
