Armed Police Standoff in Connecticut Enters Third Day

Now over 48 hours after police responded to a man reportedly wielding a shotgun in Milford, Conn., the standoff has entered a third day, Liz Hardaway reports for CT Post. Whether the weapon is a shotgun is not yet confirmed by police, who are advising residents to avoid the area, but they described the weapon as a “long gun.” Police said Friday that they no longer believe there’s an imminent threat, but have maintained their presence around the home where a man weilding a gun alleged he had been locked inside his apartment on Wednesday by his landlord and then broke off communication with police.
