I'm a Former Nordstrom Buyer—These Are the Fall Trends I'm Wearing the Most

Susie Wright's shopping tips are always of interest to us. After all, she just seems to get it with her storied fashion career as a former Nordstrom buyer and current stylist and influencer, sharing her expertise on her blog So Susie. Given that fall is just about here, she recently decided to share the fall trends she's most excited about and will probably wear on repeat this season. This edit is intended to help inspire that autumn wardrobe.

The pieces in question really run the gamut. There's everything from elevated basics that could act as foundational pieces to your fall offering to statement picks if you're really looking to go for it. There are a few striking color and print trends incorporated as well.

With all that in mind, keep scrolling to check out Wright's fall fashion list, complete with visual and shopping inspiration.

On Susie Wright: Madewell cardigan and top. "Cardigans are always a staple, so this season, try a shorter style layered with a matching top or even alone, slightly unbuttoned. So versatile, you'll wear this all the time."

On Wright: Baum und Pferdgarten dress. "Bright, saturated colors are a fall trend to love… starting with this gorgeous green slip dress! I'm on the lookout for other styles in bright pink and orange—a fun departure from black."

On Wright: J.Crew skirt. "I'm all about dark-wash denim this season. No rips, no frayed hems. Just simple, classic dark denim."

On Wright: Cinq à Sept blazer. "A relaxed blazer fits my casual lifestyle. It looks cool during the day with sneakers and a bit more dressed up at night. Blazers are a piece I'll never give up, no matter what."

On Wright: Club Monaco dress. "Recently, I read that puff sleeves are here to stay, so this fall, try dresses like the one above as well as pretty tops with your favorite denim."

On Wright: Frame blouse. "Animal print is now considered a neutral print, and it always works, especially with white or black. This season, there are many new styles to try, like this Frame blouse with stylish ruching sleeve details."

On Wright: Cinq à Sept tee. "You've got to love anything with sparkles and embellishments, and there are cool pieces everywhere. Next on the list: shoes (so pretty)."
