J.Lo and Alessandra Ambrosio Endorse the "Risky" Trend That Could Rival Leggings

Leggings are a wardrobe staple we're not sure we could ever live without. When you're lounging or heading to a workout class, there's really nothing else that comes close to them in terms of comfort and versatility—until now. It's not that leggings are going anywhere, but there's a new athleisure trend emerging that may jeopardize their long-standing reign: activewear bodysuits.

If the thought of wearing a bodysuit (and nothing layered over it) scares you, you're not alone. It's a rather divisive trend, to say the least. But sure enough, the celebrity crowd has already taken to wearing bodysuits in place of their leggings. We recently spotted Jennifer Lopez and Alessandra Ambrosio—two celebs who are seemingly always en route to the gym and clad in leggings—testing out the trend. They both opted for the same bodysuit from Beyond Yoga, a black capri-length one-piece with a halter tank–style top.

We're well aware that the bodysuit trend is even more polarizing than leggings, but we also want to point out that it doesn't have to be as scary to wear as you'd think. Just add a pair of sneakers or slide sandals and maybe a sweatshirt tied around your waist, and you have yourself a winning athleisure outfit. See how J.Lo and Ambrosio are wearing them as of late and then shop the bodysuits that are coming for your legging collection below.

Beyond Yoga's Spacedye fabric is unbelievably soft.

Obsessed with this color.

Ernest Leoty's lingerie-inspired activewear is almost too pretty to work out in—almost.

Gotta love a trendy Nordstrom find.

Hold on—we'd totally style this with a blazer and boots outside of the gym.

We didn't know activewear could be this chic.

When it's made from recycled plastic bottles and comes in a bunch of colors and inclusive sizes, big yes.

Cool-new-activewear-brand alert!

Back goals.

A little cutout goes a long way.

This V-neck looks like it would be so flattering.

Good karma, enough said.

Just wow.

A little sporty, a little spicy.
