After an NBC News team reviewed more than 60 lawsuits in major U.S. cities, reporters identified multiple disturbing accounts of sexual misconduct, harassment and retaliation against female cops. These officer-on-officer abuse and harassment cases involve settlement and trial-awarded payouts of more than $40 million, Emily R. Siegel and Simone Weichselbaum report for NBC News.

The payouts came from complaints against the sheriff’s office in Los Angeles County and police departments in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Chicago. Read the full report here.
