Sorry to the Tired Pieces in My Closet—These Picks Might Replace You

Time for a refresh.

Sorry to the Tired Pieces in My Closet—These Picks Might Replace You

I'm probably not the first person to say this, but I inevitably get pretty tired of my clothes by the end of a season. While I'm not keen on getting rid of things solely because I'm tired of them, some pieces just have a shelf life. One of my favorite things to do when the seasons change is taking stock of the items that don't serve me anymore and making a list of what needs to be replaced.

Now that Who What Wear has its very own namesake direct-to-consumer clothing line, Who What Wear Collection will be one of the first places I'll be shopping for pieces to refresh my wardrobe. The reason? There are plenty of basics and trend-forward pieces that will mix seamlessly with my existing wardrobe, some of which are even on sale. Below, I've listed my current favorite pieces for a wardrobe refresh, many of which have year-round-wear potential. Scroll to shop with me.

I love that this unique dress looks chic with both flats and heels.

I just can't get over this print. To bring it into fall, pair it with a chunky cream-colored sweater.

The best turtleneck on the planet. I'll take it in black, too.

I'm obsessed with how cool this looks halfway buttoned.

A white tee that offers a perfect tuck.

This is clearly the right dress for every fall party and night out.

I need cute long-sleeve tops to wear with jeans, and this one checks all the boxes.

This top looks cool with the matching skirt or layered under an oversize blazer.

This shirt looks so expensive IRL, and it'll never go out of style.

If you really want to embrace the '70s look, wear this with wide-leg jeans and clogs.

I have high hopes for a warm-weather vacation this winter, and you can bet I'll have this in my suitcase.

I have a hunch this pretty cardigan will elicit lots of compliments.

So many of my fellow editors own this sweater, and I think it's time for me to join them.

I recommend pairing this with chocolate brown or cream knee boots.

This gorgeous tank will get so much wear—trust me.

This neckline offers high impact with little effort.

You don't need the matching top to get a lot of use out of these, but it certainly helps.

This pretty sweater set (here's the matching bra top) is ridiculously soft.

Something else for that tropical vacation I'm hoping for.

While it may seem strictly summery at first glance, this top would work just as well in the winter with black jeans, ankle boots, and a cozy coat.

These pants are giving my jeans a run for their money.

I don't own a slinky button-down like this, but I think the time to get one is now.

For some reason, it took me a while to finally order a sweater-vest, but this is the one I went with.

Imagine how cute the aforementioned sweater-vest will look with this cozy skirt.

These sleek boots are incredibly useful.

This is exactly what I'd like to wear with those knee boots.

This layered top is the definition of a special basic.

You can never have too many cute throw-on-and-go tops.

When getting dressed, I often think about how I need more slip skirts, so into my cart this goes.

Dresses that can be dressed up or down—like this one—are my favorite.
