These Will Be the Most Popular Jeans Trends of the Summer

Last summer, I don't think I wore jeans more than once or twice. I stuck to mostly softer materials like leggings or sweatpants. However, I've started to finally wear jeans again this spring and will continue to wear them into the summer months. We've already covered plenty of summer trends, from prints to swimsuits, so it only makes sense to cover denim since we had quite the lack of it last year. Whether you're pairing it with a lightweight blouse or strappy tank top, I love a good pair of summer jeans.

Below, you'll find the six denim styles that we're seeing bubble up for the summertime. Denim is a personal preference, so by all means, feel free to wear whatever style you feel most comfortable in. But if you're unsure on which style to wear, the list below can help you figure that out in no time.

"Grunge" is a theme I'm seeing often on the fashion scene. Just look at Machine Gun Kelly's and Megan Fox's style.

This isn't the colored denim you wore in high school—it's so much better. Particularly donned in trending colors like bubblegum pink and vibrant green, these jeans are a sure way to make a statement this summer.

This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if Y2K is your vibe, you'll be happy to see low-rise trickling back into the market. Are you brave enough to give the throwback look a shot?

This has to be my favorite trend of the summer, particularly because prints are one of my favorite parts of design. From florals to landscapes, have a little fun with your denim game this summer.

If you want something in between skinny jeans and a baggy pair, this is the perfect medium ground. Straight-leg jeans are practical, go with almost everything, and are guaranteed no-fuss.

With loose jeans, the motto truly is "the baggier, the better." For those who don't want to go all the way back into the '90s, there are plenty of subtle options as well. For me, I'm all about the "little shirt, big pants" look.
