New England Mafia boss Francis “Cadillac Frank” Salemme, who was serving life in prison for the 1993 killing of a Boston nightclub owner, died Tuesday at 89 years old, according to online Bureau of Prison records, Alanna Durkin Richer reports for the Associated Press.
Salemme, who once helmed the Patriarca crime family in Boston, was convicted of killing a Boston nightclub owner in 2016. Salemme has also admitted to other gang-related murders and killings. His lawyer says he regrets a lot of the things he did in his life, particularly the effect his actions had on his family.
