Philadelphia Homicide Detective Phillip Nordo was sentenced to 24.5 to 49 years in state prison on Friday for rape, official oppression and other charges related to abusing informants and suspects. A jury found him guilty back in May when three men said Nordo had sexually assaulted them with one testifying that Nordo raped him in a Chinatown hotel room, Samantha Melamed reports for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The DA’s office has identified about 100 cases potentially undermined by Detective Nordo. So far, five of those cases have led to full exonerations and two to plea deals.
