The first fifteen Massachusetts police officers suspended by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (Post) are facing major criminal allegations including rape, indecent assault and bribery, Tom Mathews, Luis Fieldman and Chris Van Buskirk report for Mass Live.

In one case, Springfield Police Officer Leon Davis allegedly used a stun gun on a pregnant woman multiple times. Davis has been charged with one count each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a pregnant woman.

“POST will suspend the certification of an officer who is arrested, charged or indicted of a felony and will revoke the certification of an officer who is convicted of a felony,” said POST Commission Executive Director Enrique Zuniga. “The list of suspended officers will be updated periodically as these cases evolve and/or get resolved.”
