North Carolina Shooter Slays Five, Including Police Officer

An off-duty police officer was among five people killed along a walking trail in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 14 by an as-yet unidentified white, juvenile shooter, reports the Associated Press. Two people, including another police officer, were taken to hospitals. The officer was later released, but the other survivor remained in critical condition. The shooter eluded officers for hours before he was cornered in a home and arrested.
