The new bans also expanded a 2013 law that made it illegal to spread LGBTQ information to minors and now makes it apply to all ages.
The bans also include stiffer penalties for spreading LGBTQ sentiments and will be applicable in most settings, including through media, the internet, and advertising. Fines are now as high as $6,370 for “LGBT propaganda.”
