Activists across the country are calling for a shooting murder case against a 10-year-old boy to be removed into juvenile court, Elliot Hughes reports for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The child’s family says that he has a history of mental health treatment and behavioral issues and, in November, lawyer Craig Mastantuono commented on the case to the Sentinel, saying it can be a “real disaster” to put children through the adult criminal justice system, where they have less access to treatment during a time their brains are still developing.
