Former Trump fundraiser Tom Barrack was questioned about his role in discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday during his trial where he’s been charged as acting as an illegal foreign agent. Reuters reports that Barrack encouraged President Trump to use the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi, a U.S. resident and reporter for the Washington Post, as leverage in negotiations to end a trade blockade against Qatar.
