Karim Elkorany drugged and raped some of the women involved while he was working for the U.N., in a spree of assaults stretching 17 years and many countries. 

Former U.N. Employee Gets 15 Years for Drugging, Assaulting Women 

Karim Elkorany, a former United Nations employee and State Department contractor, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by a Manhattan judge for the rape of at least 13 victims and drugging of at least 6 more, Benjamin Weiser and Tea Kvetenadze report for the New York Times. Elkorany drugged and raped some of the women involved while he was working for the U.N., in a spree of assaults stretching 17 years and many countries.

In testimony during the trial, Elkorany’s victims described their careers and relationships being damaged in the aftermath of their assaults and years of trauma. Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, has asked the judge to impose the maximum 15-year sentence.
