The House Public Safety Committee is set to have a hearing on Thursday regarding HF25, a bill that seeks to invest $15 million in violent crime investigations statewide, $30 million into grants for community violence prevention and intervention programs, and some $40 million overall into local law enforcement crisis response teams, Mikki Morissette reports for Minnesota Women’s Press.
Bill sponsor Kelley Moller has met with members of the committee and Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) executive director Artika Roller to talk about what victim advocates need in order to better support victims of violent crime.
