lllinois Man Gets 55 Years in Killing of U.S Marshal 

Special Deputy U.S. Marshal Jacob Keltner was killed on March 7, 2019, when members of the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force and other law enforcement officers attempted to execute a warrant for Floyd E. Brown’s arrest at a Rockford hotel. According to the Department of Justice, Brown, 43, will serve 55 years in federal prison for second-degree murder.  He was detained after a high-speed pursuit in Lincoln, Ill.
