Crime victims in New York’s Fulton County will soon have access to a Crime Victim Services Coordinator again, thanks to a combined $182,388 worth of state reimbursement grants obtained by the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, the Leader Herald reports. The DA’s office formally filed Monday a request to reopen the previously successful Crime Victim Services Office, which operated in the County from 1992 until state funding lapsed on Sept. 30, 2019. Victim Services offices and advocates do essential work representing victims and helping them navigate complicated criminal justice systems.
