Trump Org Fraud Trial Jury Deliberations Kick Off
Prosecutor Josh Steinglass urged the jury to not let politics cloud the trial as they begin their deliberations: "this case is not about politics," Steinglass said. "It’s just two corporations helping its executives cheat on their taxes."
The Trump Organization’s tax fraud trial ended closing arguments on Friday in New York after four weeks of testimony, Lauren del Valle reports for CNN. Prosecutor Josh Steinglass urged the jury to not let politics cloud the trial as they begin their deliberations: “this case is not about politics,” Steinglass said. “It’s just two corporations helping its executives cheat on their taxes.” Jury proceedings will start Monday to consider accusations that the Trump Organization participated in a 15-year fraud scheme that already resulted in charges against CFO Allen Weisselberg.
