Former Colombia University Gynecologist Convicted of Sex Crimes

Robert Hadden was convicted on four counts, each carrying a maximum 20-year sentence. 

Robert Hadden, a former Colombia University Gynecologist, was convicted on Tuesday on four counts of sexual abuse, each carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years, Aaron Katersky reports for ABC News. Prosecutors alleged that Hadden had sexually abused several women between 1993 and 2012, including minors. As a result of his actions, Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian paid settlements of over $236 million to some 230 of Hadden’s former patients before his recent convictions.
